If you are new to ipage hosting and hope to signup their web hosting, you can signup ipage hosting with or without a domain transfer. There are three options that you can choose from:
- Register for a free domain name
- Transfer existing domain name to ipage web hosting company.
- Change DNS and host the domain with ipage hosting, without transfering domain to ipage.
If you planning to use your existing domain registrar, its ok to keep your domain with current registrar and host your website with ipage. Change the domain nameserver to ipage DNS only, and you can do it this way. This is the simple and quickest way, and it is as mentioned in option 3 above. For example you can keep your domain name with domain registrar like godaddy, namecheap, dotster or other… and continue to host your website with ipage web hosting.
Else, if you want to transfer the domain to ipage registrar and host website at ipage hosting, then this is when you need to manually initiate the domain transferring process. After you have the ipage hosting account, login to ipage vdeck and get the domain section and select the “Registrar Transfer”. And complete the domain transfer process in order to move the domain to ipage hosting, and manage your domain from here. From this iPage domain transfer page, you can transfer domain names in bulk too. You can transfer multiple domain names at once, enter in the Domain Name [SPACE] Auth Code and one per line. This iPage bulk domain transfer will be process automatically and complete in 7 days. Make sure you request domain authorization code from your current domain registrar, and enter in a valid authentication code in order to complete the transfer successfully. See screenshot above.

Please note that the transfer process may take up to 5 days to complete.”

If either of those conditions is not true, you may initiate a transfer. As part of this process, you will extend your domain registration by one year.“

Hi,
I’m interested in an account with you for the purpose of using some personal e-mail id’s(to start with) and then later developing a website (so just a basic account to start with).
I have reserved a domain name with 123-reg.co.uk from last few year but never used that domain.
Is it possible to get that name transferred to you and is there any cost involved ?
What would be the running cost of a basic account with you ?

ipage hosting is no $2.95/mo when you use the ipage coupon link from this website. And you can either keep the domain with 123-reg.co.uk or transfer it to ipage. During signup, choose to transfer the domain over for free. These are the two choice that you have.
